  • 404 Error When Login Into Admin Control Panel

I have IE6 & Nescape 6 and can't see my boards or get access to my control panel. When I use IE5 on my mac or on aol on a PC everyhing is fine. It's wierd because I can view this board and other v2 boards..just not mine. Is this a problem with vbulletin or my browser? Any help would be great!

Well I have upgraded to RC3 and getting the same problem...Netscape 6.01 doesn't even go to the boards..just hangs and stops. But as I said before, this is wierd because I can see the boards here on N6.01.

IE 6 doesn't work and for me either. had to uninstall. Now to make matters worse people say they can't see it on IE 5.0 and IE 5.5.--But I have IE5.5 and see it fine. I do know for a fact it works great on aol6 --(like that matters) and IE 5 on a mac.

Any idea what the problem could be?

We need significantly more info, including:
                exact url to board
exact url it's redirecting you to when you get a 404
                php version
                os and version

                  My forum is:
                  http://www.stumede.com/forums/index.php

I don't know what version of PHP I am using..I do know it's not PHP3.
I am on win 98 second editon. My server is unix running apache.

I have no clue what page it is redirecting my users, I will email them and ask....as I said before it works fine for me on IE5.5..Netscape6 however doesn't redirect me at all it just stalls and stops. But I can view this board with netscape 6.

                  Thanks ed for your help,

                  sam

                    Duh! hahaha

Hey Sam, run a php info script:

Put this in a phpinfo.php file, upload it to your server and run it. It will tell you your version and a lot more really cool info.

                    <?php phpinfo(); ?>

I know there is no support for RC3, but just some ideas would help me out.

It looks like there's some strange conflict with your OS/setup with Gzipping -- http://www.stumede.com/forums/index.php?nozip=1

You can add ?nozip=1 (&nozip=1 if there's already a ? ) to disable it. Doing so, see if you can get into the control panel to turn it off.
