  • Parsing headers in 2.0.0

    I'm having a little trouble finding the option that allows me to parse headers as php code.

    I searched the forum here and all I got was a hint that there might be some sort of option that allows me to do this... somewhere. If said option exists, heck if I can find it.

    So, anyone know what I'm talking about here?

    Oh, and I thought I might also tell you al what I'm trying to do: I have a header.php file that I include at the head of every document on my site. I just want to include that same file at the head of vB. I presume that the way to do this is to enable php-parsing on the header (however you do that...) and just insert include ("header.php"); into the header template.

    Am I right?

    If you're using php4, take a look at the phpinclude-template.

      Okay! That seems to work. For the header.

      I still want to get my own footer in there too -- I assumed that the right thing to would would be this:
      ob_start();
      require("../common/header.php");
      $header = ob_get_contents();
      ob_end_clean();

      ob_start();
      require("../common/footer.php");
      $footer = ob_get_contents();
      ob_end_clean();
      ... But it doesn't seem to work right -- the tables are all off and in the wrong place. Am I doing the right thing here, or is there something else I need to do?
