  • problem with the database

    www.rcweb.org
clicking on forums to the left side this is what I see...

There seems to have been a slight problem with the database. Please try again by pressing the refresh button in your browser.

An E-Mail has been dispatched to our Technical Staff, who you can also contact if the problem persists.

    We apologise for any inconvenience.

When I open up WinMySQLadmin and look at the Err File
    this is what I see...

    010427 3:22:05 MySql: Normal shutdown
010427 3:08:09 Aborted connection 2 to db: 'RCWeb' user: 'ODBC' host: `localhost' (Unknown error)
    MySql: ready for connections

I have tried to to remove and re-install Mysql but still will not work.
    Any Ideas?
    thanks
    Scotty

Need to see what the error is by looking at the source code of the technical error.

Also losing connections when you shutdown MySQL is normal. The trick is to not shut it down.

you can see the full error info by viewing the source of the page that it showed up on (it's between the comment tags: <!-- error info -->), or in the email that vB emails to you when you get a database error.
