  • backed up, onw how to del and restore ??

I backed up my database by saving the sql dump file as a .txt file and renaming its extension to .sql.

I then uploaded it to /temp/backup.sql

Now, how do i do this .

i need to delete my current database (which is what i will have to do to have my backed up edited database operational, right ?? ) but I do not know how to go about deleting all the database . Does anyone know how to do this and if it is safe to do so when restoring a backed up database ??????

Once im done deleting , i will type this command in telnet to restore the database :-

mysql -uuser -ppassword database < /tmp/backup.sql

    is this alright ??

    Thanx in advance for help.
