can you give us the URL to the mailtest.php file?

Also, a URL to the phpinfo.php located in your forums directory.

I had this problem when I moved to my new server. Turns out it was because I didn't have my domain transferred yet. I guess e-mail doesn't work without a physical domain from the sender.

Let bira see the phpinfo.php. Without providing any information on the server, it is very hard to provide support.

              nuno, your phpinfo looks fine.

Can you telnet to your server and type this:

              ps ax | grep sendmail
And paste here what it replies?

If sendmail is running (and I ran mailtest on your server and it does not look like sendmail is running), the reply should looke something like:

bash$ ps ax | grep sendmail
              450 ? S 0:06 sendmail: accepting connections on port 25
              30571 pts/1 S 0:00 grep sendmail
              bash$

                bira
                f2s doesn't allow telnet connections

IIRC, f2s disabled sendmail due to abuse.

phpinfo.php -- the master values -- shows you what your php.ini has.

If your host disabled sendmail, there is nothing you can do other than replace the SMTP in php.ini with an external SMTP which allows you to relay through it.
