  • Just a few newbie questions...

    I just bought my license yesterday to replace my website's current forum system and there are a few things I was wondering on how to tweak the vBulletin system.

    How do you remove the "_______________" above everyone's signature?

    How do I add my own php commands in the header sections of the style? For instance I just want to do a php include();

    Is there any way to import threads from dcBoards?

    Where can I get a diagram for where all the 'template' variables go?

    Here's what I have so far:
    Current Forums and Beta Forums

    1 :: not sure what template you have to edit

    2 :: Simple. Just go into the user control panel, then go into change styles, then find the text box with the header information in it, and simple paste in your PHP code.

    3 :: Never heard of it!

    4 :: Not sure what u mean...

      Edit the postbit_signature template

      Add something like this to the phpinclude template:
      Code:
      $myinclude = include("myfile.php");
      Then you can use $myinclude in the header template where you want it.

      Is there any way to import threads from dcBoards?
      Not currently, but be sure to vote in this poll and suggest it for the future.

      Not quite sure what you mean by this, but there will be a manual released for vBulletin 2 shortly after the final version is released.

        rehash of my last question

        Err.. by the last question, I simply meant like a map or description of where each of the tempate bits were put together, or an explaination of where each variable eventually gets parsed together in the final display of the page.

        Thanks again!
