users online and favicon

if this exists already im sorry but i was just curious to why does it say most users online blah at blah time i mean it says the same amount of users everytime and the current time? wtf is this about also does the fav icon work and do you just select any icon as a fav or how do you set that up to work always wondered bout that

1) It simply shows the current total and the highest total that has ever occured (since the install of beta 4)
2) You have to upload an icon called favicon.ico
