Deleting posts/threads without changing post count...

I'm sure this is going to turn out to be embarrassingly simple but....

For the sake of tidyness, we wish to delete some very ancient threads. However, whenever we do this the members' post counts go down, making for some very unhappy campers.

On an earlier version of vB that we had, I'm sure we could delete whole threads without cutting the counts (pruning, on the other hand affected the counts...).

I'm sure I'm going blind, but I just can't find mention of this in the manual or an option for this on the admin panel.

Suggestions please!

There is no function to do this. This requires modifying the code. We cannot officially support code modifications or forums running modified code, however can try searching or asking for help with this over at www.vbulletin.org.
