    Ok cool. Luckly the guy was nice enough to info me what happened and didn't do anything fish with my account.

    I'll do that htaccess thing now, as its a good idea. I have that on another board I admin!

    All things considered, he has goten your cookie info and is spoofing your cookie, the first thing you should do now is change your password and then add an htaccess protection to your admin folder.

    Double check that there is no html enabled anywehre and you are only using the most current files.

    Nope not at all. But we allow posting of images, attaching of images etc. No HTML as I was told it's easy to hack/mess up a board with that feature enabled.

    what version of vBulletin 2 are you running, If you are not running 2.3.6 there is a very good chance that he could have goten info and done this.

    Weird Bug : User Taking Over Control Of An Admin.

    A user on a board I admin/mod, told me that he was able to post as myself (an admin) and it seemed to happen because we posted at the very exact same time.

    He had a screen shot of the post he made that turned up as me posting.

    Is this a known bug?

    Sounds like one for Mulder and Scully to be fair. Its plain spooky!
