  • Multiple Languages supported?

    Hi all,

I would like to know whether it's possible to set up not a vB Install other than english (I know this can be done with a respective template); but make this all changeable.

As you may know in Switzerland we have four common languages (German, Italian, French, English) so I'd like to have an Install with somewhat 4 Template-Sets, easy switchable.

Has anybody done this already or knows if this can be done?

    Thanks in advance,

    Alex

I made a MultiLanguage Hack for 1.1.5 but I've never released it. I can do it the same way for 2.0 as I did for 1.1.5 but it's not as efficient as it should. You have to go thru ALL templates and replace a text with a variable which will be "translated" in an external php file. And of course, a user has a possibility to select the language (s)he wants.
