  • how do I?

How can I check and see how much load my forum is putting on my shared unix server?

    Thanks,

I could type out a long article here or point you to one.

Do you have shell access to your server? (Ie: Telnet or SSH)

If you do, you can run 'top' at the command line and see the kind of load that the server is under. However, AFAIK there is not a way to find out the processor usage of ~your~ board specifically, as vBulletin will be running as a part of mySQL and your webserver system, rather than a standalone application that would show up in the process list.

        Yes I have shell access.

Okay then is there a way where I can see how much load is on mysql? The top command shows like 10 or so things but not mysql.
