Warning: Access denied for user: '[email protected]'(Using password: YES) in /home/httpd/html/twn/WWW/drumnbasscc/forum/admin/db_mysql.php on line 50

Warning: Supplied argument is not a valid MySQL-Link resource in /home/httpd/html/twn/WWW/drumnbasscc/forum/admin/db_mysql.php on line 56

well if anyone can help...please do:)

ps:this is my server in my office so i have all permissions and stuff...

Obviously you don't have all the permissions:
Warning: Access denied for user: '[email protected]'(Using password: YES)
There's not much we can do about that.

if you own the server, as you say, then for the second forum to be installed, you will need a second database to be created.

i prefer to create a new database and a new user to access it, so that for every database on the server there is a separate user who is the "owner" of the database.

then you want to put your vb code in a new directory in the web tree. e.g. if you had the earlier one in /path/to/www/dirs/user1/forum1 you may want the other to be at /path/to/www/dirs/user1/forum2

then go in the file with the database connection setting (i guess it the admin/config.php or admin/db_config.php) and change teh database connection parameters (dbname, user and password

$ mysql
> create database forum2;
> grant all privileges on forum2.* to [email protected] identified by 'passwordforforum2';

here forum2 is the database AND the user name.

hope that helps

Also, keep in mind that you need 2 licenses.

well, lets start by saying i did purchased 2 forums, and i have all the licence and server info, the reason i put the "[email protected]" was so that i dint go out putting the pass word of my database in forums...ok now that thats out of the way i will look in to what Shashi said about the paramaters and database(thats most likely the problem).
thanks for the responce and i will try to get this going today...

Actually, just FYI, that "[email protected]" isn't your password :)
It's [email protected]
