another member import bug

    another member import bug

    i previously reported that when i imported 5500 members the db shows 7200 records.

    well get this:

    about 1000 users show up twice. no idea why, this was a CLEAN instal

    a bunch of usernames got forked:

    username
    changed into
    usernAME

    any idea?

    Hmmm. I wonder if this is something to do with UBB's member files rather than the import itself. Do those duplicate member files exist, or are they being created in the import?

    Could you give a few more details about the server, config, etc please.

      Server is a Dual P3 - 700, 256mb RAM, 18gb x 3 RAID
      Running linux, apache, php3, mysql

      Not sure what else you need....lemme know. I posted elsewhere about a post import bug that seems to happen every 3k posts or so with old august 99 posts. Getting there....

      Here is a sample members file (i just changed the password).

        But do those odd capitalised member names exist or are they being created by the import?

        Which versions of php, apache and mysql please?

          they are created BY the import

          Apache Version: Apache/1.3.9
          PHP Version 3.0.12
          My sql Client API version: 3.22.27
