  • password protection?

    Hello all,

How can i password-protect a specific Forum? Is it possible or can i only hide it and let specific Users access it?

The problem is that i want all users to see the forum, but not everyone access it. Also, it's hard work to add new people every day (give them permissions).

    Thanks a lot in advance!

It can be Invisible to all except Admins and Mods.

        or

Only Mods and Admins can access it while other users cant.

well, i want the forum(s) to be visible to all users, but only accessible for the people having the passwords because i don't want to add new users to new groups every day.

is there maybe a hack that allows password-protection?

As Menno said, use the User Groups and Permissions built into the Forums.

If you have a group of teens and only they can access the Teen Forum, put them all in a group of their own and give that group access to the forum.

when i got that group created and members added, i set the "forum enabled" and "allow posting/editing" for that forum to "no", is that correct?
