  • Host Pro VServer does not allow changing php.ini

I was just on with tech support at host pro and was told that if you have a vserver that you cannot change the php.ini to turn off magic quotes, etc.

So is this the end of the road concerning the slashes, etc.?

Just wondering . . . . because if this is so then Vbulletin cannot be properly used at Host Pro under the Vserver format.

Shame because I really like the product.

I believe 2.0.1 will finally have a workaround for the issues.

If it doesn't, put me in contact with a senior tech rep and I'll have a little chat with him.

If your host uses Apache and supports the use of .htaccess files, you can also change the magic quotes runtime and gpc from there. See the PHP manual for details.
