We have mySQL running as a process, and have been told to change it to a threaded application instead. I dont know much about mySQL at all so I was wondering how to go about changing this. Thanks,

Then all you should have to do is recompile MySQL with the threading enabled. All Linux systems come with a compiler.
Or, if you prefer to use binary, check out http://www.mysql.com and see if they have a threaded version available for download.
I always compile my own. {shrug}Comment

Yes John... We seemed to have fixed things finally :) After upgrading the processors to Dual 550's, and re-building our db each week things have begun to speed up quite conciderably.Jake Lawson

I would have to say that it was a combination of everything. We are still working on using vB to its full potential though, but we are a lot more happier with the preformace after doing all that is listed above.Jake Lawson
