Admin function : edit thread

Go to the admin option of your board and select edit thread

What is this for???? Isn't the ability to edit a thread determined by the ability to see the thread?

Here's what I get on my board

once I submit it - nothing changes

Is this normal?

You can edit the post icon and thread title. :)

oaky so this is normal?

I was concerned cause I wasn't sure if my edit was working properly.

Also,

I tried unchecking the {show thread in forum list} option and then it tries to redirect back to the 'hidden' thread and says "invalid" redirect - contact the webmaster - shouldn't it take you to the forum category thread list instead - Could this be a mistake or a bug??

and finally,

If the message is hidden - and you use the moderation queue to view it and edit it there - is there anything that tells a moderator that the message is waiting for him or her to be edited if it isn't shown?
