    Enabling Google Login within vBulletin

Note: These instructions can also be found in the /core/packages/googlelogin directory of your download package.

Creating a Google API Console Project
    1. Go to the cloud console dashboard :
    2. At the top, click on "Select a project" (looks like a drop down, but will open a modal UI)
    3. In the popup, click on the "+" icon to the right to add a new project.
    4. Enter a project name, e.g. "Cool Forum Google Login" (max 30 chars) and click "Create".
    5. Note the ID (not the name) that's automatically assigned to the project. This will be useful for going directly to that project's settings if you have multiple google projects. This ID will be referred to as "projectID" in the following sections.

    Generating your clientid & clientsecret
    1. Before we can get an oauth clientid, we must configure the project's OAuth consent screen (what users will see before they allow your project their permission to access their userinfo).
    2. Go to the OAuth consent screen page: (or{projectID} if you already had one or more existing google projects).
    3. Fill in the required information and click "Save".
    4. Now go to the Credentials page: (Make sure that the project you created above is selected, or go directly to the project's
      credentials page via{projectID} )
    5. Click on "Create Credentials" and choose "OAuth client ID".
    6. For Application type pick "Web Application".
    7. Important: For "Authorized JavaScript origins", put in your forum's domain without the path or ending /. E.g. ( if your forum is at
    8. Click "Create".
    9. Your client ID & secret will be shown in a popup. Store these somewhere safe. (If you lose them, you can always get them back or regenerate new ones via the console)

    Enable GoogleLogin within vBulletin
    1. Log into your forum's AdminCP. (Upgrade to 5.4.2 if you haven't already)
    2. Go to "Products & Hooks" > "Manage Products" and enable "Third Party Login - Google" if it's not already enabled.
    3. Click on the "Related Options: Enable Sign-in with Google" link to go to the options link.
      • Alternatively, you can go to Settings -> Options -> Third Party Login Options to access these settings.
    4. In the options, Enable Sign-in with Google
    5. Enter in the client id & secret you created above in the "Google OAuth Client ID" & "Google OAuth Client Secret" fields, respectively.

    Global Palette

This new set of thirteen style variables will allow you to quickly and easily create new basic styles. Through inheritance and carefully crafted algorithms, the changes made here are applied throughout the site while maintaining hue changes as closely as possible. Each of the new variables includes a description that details which items it affects in your Style. For fine-tuning, all the other style variables are still available.

    Dark Theme

Building on the recent style work that we have completed, we are introducing a Dark Theme. This theme is a great starting point for gaming and technology sites. Though it can be used for any type of vBulletin site. The new theme takes advantage of SVG Icons, CSS Gradients and the new Global Palette to provide an all-encompassing experience.
