    I want upgrade from Version 5.6.2 Patch Level 2 to 6.0.0 is that possible ?

    Hi

    I want to upgrade my forum Version 5.6.2 Patch Level 2 to 6.0.0 is this possible in one step or do I need to upgrade first to version 5.7.5 ?

    and I tried a fresh install of version 5.7.5 it gives me next error just after filling in the database credentials form :
    syntax error, unexpected '|', expecting variable (T_VARIABLE)

    my server php version:
    php -v
    PHP 8.0.30 (cli) (built: Sep 19 2023 22:28:54) ( NTS )

        Not sure how this is relevant to the question.

            For the original question, as Mark stated, to upgrade from any version of vBulletin 5, upload the vBulletin 6 files, overwriting what exists, and run /core/install/upgrade.php.

            Just a note for anyone else encountering this --

            The command line and web versions of PHP can be different. In order to view your web version of php use a phpinfo() call in a file.

            Code:
            <?php
            phpinfo();
