  • Upgrading 5.23 to 5.24

    Hi,
    This morning i've upgrading vBulletin 5, but i've an issue to the step 13.

    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="windows-1252"?> <br />
    <b>Fatal error</b>: Allowed memory size of 134217728 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 54949 bytes) in <b>/home/weakissy/public_html/core/includes/class_diff.php</b> on line <b>170</b><br />
    Thanks for your help.

    To increase your limits edit your core/includes/config.php file and add these lines right under the <?php line:

    ini_set('memory_limit', -1);
    ini_set("max_execution_time", "2880");

    Then refresh the page. If you have the same problem after that, you need to contact your host and ask them to check the server error logs.
    Vote for:

    - *Admin Settable Paid Subscription Reminder Timeframe*
    -
    *PM - Add ability to reply to originator only*
    - Add Admin ability to auto-subscribe users to specific channel(s)
    - "Quick Route" Interface...

      Thanks.
      I've add these lines but i've already the same issue. I've contacted my host who tell me to modify my .httaccess (php_value memory_limit 250M).
      Already the same issue... I don't understand...

      I solved my problem.
      In fact, I made changes in global.css and responsive.css via the style manager. Once these changes are removed, step 13 is completed successfully. I just need to list all my CSS changes for each Upd. This is quite restrictive.

        Funny, I think I had this too, though I never looked at the exact error in the logs.

        Seems the upgrade doesn't quite finish if there are changes to some (or possibly any) of the templates.
        I had certainly changed the same two templates, plus about four others. I have been reverting all of them prior to the upgrades.

        Think I will log this in the Tracker later as I am pretty sure it's the same issue. Had it on the last few betas now.

          For CSS changes, I suggest you to do them in css_additional.css. Use the same CSS definition with your own values.
