  • Module: 500a5, Step 2 Database Error:1064

Trying to upgrade from 4.2.0 PL3 to VB5 Beta 16, I got this error:

Name:	Capture.JPG
Views:	1
Size:	53.6 KB
ID:	3725156

I have seen other people with this error.

I tried to use Beta 20 and Beta 15 (as these were apparent solutions) and neither seems to resolve the issue. Is there a way to edit or run this query manually to make it work?

Not really. Is your MySQL running in strict mode?

If so, let vBulletin know about this by updating the variable in your /core/includes/config.php just search the file for strict.

MySQL is not running in strict mode, and I didn't see anything in the config.php with the word strict.

      I'm running MYSQL 5.1.66

Having the same issue... would love a solution as well to bypass if possible.

Does a blank installation of vBulletin 5 work on your server?

Do you have any addons that change how pages work in the CMS?

I had to re-run the upgrade using a version higher than Beta 16. You have to start again from scratch. It worked for me with Beta 20.
