album pictures, visitor messages, attachments not carried over.

Is it just me? I did an upgrade from 4.2 to beta 10,13,14. users album pictures are not carried over. visitor messages are not carried over, attachments are not carried over. anyone else with these issues ?

There was a change in the way images were handled around beta 11 or 12. So, try a fresh upgrade from vB4.2 to beta 14 and see if you still have the same issue.

i did... what i really meant was it did not work from 4.2 to 10, 4.2 to 13 and 4.2 to 14. I think it only imported 1 visitor message for me when I check the filter to show alltime

I think the VBteam should upgrade their current forum to vb50 for the demo site to see the problems that we are facing, or even setup one for license holders only. going back and forth try this, try that, did you do this, did you do that won't cut it. let me see an upgraded version that works.

They have actually done several upgrades of the vbulletin.com database during testing - they do a new one at the end of almost everyday it seems.

Are your attachments stored in the filesystem or database? If in the filesystem, did you make sure to change the path for them (it should be a full server path).

I had them in the filesystem they did not work. I then moved them to the storage before i did the upgrade, it did not work either. What else could be wrong ?

What is the path that you stored these uploads in? In the forum root? Those paths have moved into core and you should update your system to look for them there. You also need to manually move the files. The upgrade script never has moved files.

I moved the folder over Wayne even though they are stored in DB. here is an example of the link of an attachment from VB 4.x http://www.mysite.com/forum/attachme...1&d=1342721829 . I can view this attachment in 4.x, but not in beta15. I did check JIRA, I will check when the next build comes to see if it works. currently, that option is not in control panel...

I don't show the issue above as fixed in beta 16. Currently the issue is open and unresolved.

How many more BETAS? beta17, still no old visitor messages from VB 4.2, no attachment in messages. When will these be fixed? That streams option to show visitor messages still not there.

It's not listed as fixed yet. Your bugs will continue to be bugs until they get around to fixing them.
