Basic steps to upgrade 5.0.0 to 5.0.4

1. Backup your database using whatever tools your provider gives you.
2. Upload all the vBulletin 5.0.4 files, including .htaccess or web.config.
3) Put your browser at http://yoursite.com/install/upgrade.php
4) Delete /core/install/ when done.
