If I delete the install.php file then I get Error 310 (net::ERR_TOO_MANY_REDIRECTS): There were too many redirects.

You should delete install.php from the ./install/ directory if doing an upgrade.

Did you setup your config.php files for vBulletin 5? VB5 has 2 config.php files, the one in /core/includes/ is similar to the VB4 one, make sure it has the same database and other settings as was in your VB4 config.php file.

Upgrade not working, refreshing into install.php

Can anyone give me a clue to why when I try to upgrade my VB4 to VB5 the upgrade script refreshes into install.php that then alerts me to tables within the database that can be deleted, which is basically all of the old VB4 tables. It is if the VB5 upgrade script is not seeing the current VB4 installation.

I have no files from VB4 left on the server, just new uploaded files from VB5.
