    How long to upgrade complete

Depends on the size of the database. It took about 4 hours to upgrade the vBulletin.com database using the CLI. I would suggest using the CLI upgrader if you want quicker upgrades.

I used command line interface. It went very smooth. It was the first time I used CLI. Impressive.

if you have SSH shell to server you can use php-cli "php command line interface" from command line to execute vb upgrade script
              Code:
               ~#:php -f /var/www/your forum install dir/upgrade.php

Definitely use the CLI if possible. I found it to be much faster.

I am twenty hours into step 8 with a fairly big database. The worst part is, I don't know whether the end is even in sight. It is worth it though, 5.1.4 is pretty awesome!
