Night Mode for vBulletin like used at Twitter?

For all those who like to read in the dark. Add night mode theme, and forum will have more traffic + sales

Do vBulletin have this planned?

No plans for anything like that, but there's nothing to stop people creating such a theme themselves.

Haha, ok. Well, do you agree that using forums that have light themes at night is not easy on the eyes, and that dark themes are easier on the eyes?

I'll see if I can at least make a darker theme for night time.

You can create a dark style and then redirect to the different styles based on time. To do the redirect you would add ?styleid=X to the URL. This will write a cookie to the users computer and they will use that style until they switch it again.

There are examples of the redirects on that page. You should be warned that many devices are adding this directly to the OS. iOS and Android already have this and it is coming to Windows 10. The OS level Night Shift may interfere with your custom solution.

It is in a weird place. You have to go to Site Builder, edit any page and click on the Color Styles page. It seems like it would only apply to that page but it creates a global style.

Because then we could create a theme much more easily. With vBulletin, you have to manually edit each style setting which is very time consuming for someone who isn't very familiar with the names of everything.
