  • I can not update the site to v. 5-6-1 after a virus damage

    Dear experts,
One fall, the forum http://mayaki.ru/ was hacked by a virus that ruined the appearance of the main page and I can’t enter the admin panel or work with the site somehow.
I tried several times to update the forum to version 5.6.1, it seems unsuccessful. As a result, I deleted all the files on the hosting and uploaded everything again, but the result is the same.
To update, I started the site according to the instructions
    1) ttp://mayaki.ru/install/upgrade.php
    2) Entered the parameters of the existing site
    3) the forum accepted them and sent me to a page asking to remove makeconfig.php
    4) I deleted it, updated the page, but the forum throws me to the main page with a spoiled layout. The same thing if I try to follow a link like ttp://mayaki.ru/install/install.php - I get to a page with a corrupted main page. Perhaps I did not update it. Is there any way to fix the site? All hosting sites are new.
    Could you help me, please!

Your issue is due the fact that you did not rename htaccess.txt to .htaccess as specified in the installation instructions. Since you deleted your old files, this step must be done even on an upgrade.

If that doesn't work then other solutions can be found here:

Thank you so much! Sorry for the dummy mistake. I was so long time without upgrades.
      I updated forum from 5.2.1 to 5.6.1

But now I have 2 other problems:
      1) I don't see all forums (it is empty) http://mayaki.ru/
      2) I can't go to administration panel:

      When I go to http://mayaki.ru/admincp/
      I receive an error:
      -------
      Forbidden
You don't have permission to access /admincp/ on this server.
      ------
      I tried this method: https://forum.vbulletin.com/forum/vb...rrors?t=197290
but it doesn't work for me with error:
      ------
      Internal Server Error
The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.
      -------

    1) I don't see all forums (it is empty) http://mayaki.ru/
    1. Log into the site.
    2. Click "Edit Site" to turn on Site Builder.
    3. Click "Quick Setup" in the Site Builder Menu.
    4. Set your home page to Classic.
    5. Set your home page to Default.
    6. Close Quick Setup.

    Does the page work now?

    2) I can't go to administration panel:
Delete the /admincp directory from your server. It is no longer needed.

Thank you so much. Is there any direct link to "Quick Setup, because when I'm trying to open any link in menu it looks like mayaki.ru/#
There is only one exception for the Main menu and it goes to "mayaki.ru/admincp/index.php
Sorry that it is in Russian.

Should be the last link in the menu. I don't read Russian. The links are controlled by javascript so /# is correct.

Go to /forum first and then use the Quick Setup.

Thank you so much!!!! It works properly with your last comment and I also switched between styles twice.

Delete the /admincp directory from your server. It is no longer needed.
This case doesn't work. If I was trying to delete it I can't go to the "Management" panel, because it has a link with "admincp"
          http://mayaki.ru/admincp/index.php

but it is not a big problem, I hope.

AdminCP loads for me with the link you provided in the previous post. The directory isn't needed. vBulletin 5 can still route the link properly.
