If you're seeing the JSON string in the browser window, you need to contact your host and make sure they are passing JSON responses to the browser properly. The JavaScript on the page, needs this JSON in order to redraw the page after a reply.

I have the same problem, contacted my host who said JASON is properly enabled and working fine on the server. I wonder if I need to do something to fix it.

    Hello,
    Thanks for the reply.
I have a dedicated server (centos 6.5 with plesk 17)
Could you tell me what I need to configure or install to get this?

Ps: Before I updated to version 5.5.3 everything worked properly.

    Thank you.

It is a server configuration issue. The JSON string should be passed directly through to the AJAX Javascript that requested it in the browser. It shouldn't be shown in the window. I'd look at mime types and how you're processing JSON.

I got the exact same problem after applying the 5.5.4 PL 1 yesterday.
We can post and reply but get that message after each. The posts are saved though. I don´t think it's a host issue. The patch files created it.

The patch would not cause this issue. It has absolutely nothing to do with creating content. Open a support ticket for someone to look at your server.

I am having the same issue after updating to 5.5.4 PL1 ... on 2 forums... so it is definetely caused by the update as the problem was not here...
On one forum I was using 5.5.2 and on one 5.5.3... both have issues after updating to 5.5.4 PL1 and the other 2 forums, run without any issues... same VPS, also support ticket opened.

Did you run the upgrade script? Are you using a custom style from a third-party? Do you have third party add-ons installed?

The patch changes one file and the change deals with Site Builder modules.

Upgrade script was run from console with command php upgrade.php
Haven't had the issue when I was running the 5.5.2 and the 5.5.3. Sites are modded at all, also disabled all hooks and put the original template, also tried all the templates so the issue is not template related because they are barely modded. Here is a movie. I have 2 adsense ads and 2 other ads from the site builder added, also tried with those ads taken out. Site is loganclub.ro and ticket is already opened with id 2309101, which was closed... because no ticket support is available for me. So first our forums are hacked, afterwards received a fix which broke them and now... no support is given to us, this is frustrating guys

L.E. I have managed to fix the issues from the 1st and 2nd movies by runing the upgrade.php script again... I think there might be an issue with the updtate script? The issue in the 3rd movie still remained on the other forum... tough I run the update script on that forum also.

L.E.2 I have managed to fix also the 3rd movie, please see in this thread
