Installation vB 5 on localhost

Hallo,

I'm installing vB 5 on localhost, after editing and trying to install, I see the following error's:

'The requested URL /lebenslehre.eu/core/install/install.php was not found on this server.'

'Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_USE, expecting T_FUNCTION in C:\OpenServer\domains\lebenslehre.eu\core\vb\api.php on line 15'


What's there wrong?

What web server are you using? You can use Wampserver or XAMPP on Windows. I use the latter and I just put vB in the htdocs folder. So if I create vb5 folder and upload all the vB5 files there, I can access the site at http://localhost/vb5. If the server is using port, then you have to add :xxxx after localhost where xxxx is the poert number..

I'm using Apache 2.2, PHP 5.3, MySQL 5.5 from the program OpenServer.

Use PHP 5.4 or later. That's the minimum PHP version required for vB5.

Okay, thanks. I'm trying to reenstall the forum on WAMP, I've made a database, edited config's, but the installation didn't begin. What's there could be wrong? The error - can't find install.php....

It's working!! I had to add the number of a port after localhost!!!!!

Damn, I've installed my forum, but I can't see it. Only connection denied and localhost:8080/mydomain, what I can see.

Err_connection_refused .... error in config file (not in the core) on the line 45.

That isn't a vBulletin error. You installed WAMPSERVER? What version? What version of PHP and MySQL?

Yes, WAMPSERVER 64, and PHP 7.0.4., MySQL 5.7.11.

I've changed the port 80 to 8080, becouse of Skype.

Something wrong with cookie, I gave the cookie another name. Maybe I didn't rename something in a file?

You made a syntax error in the config file. What did you change on line 45? Maybe you have unclosed string literal - no closing quote or something?

I think, the error is related to cookie prefix, I wrote in both config file's 'lebenslehre' instead of 'bb', but on the line 45, I didn't change anything.


This is, what is on the line 45:
