There is no setting for this. If you explain to the users to right-click the link and choose "Copy Link" from the browser's context menu they can get the full URL.
The 55 character limit is hardcoded in /includes/vb5/template/bbcode.php at line 2745.

URL's shortened in posts - Can we increase length setting?
Hi,
I was just wondering if there is a setting to increase the allowed length of a URL that is displayed on our forum in posts, before it is shortened with ... in the middle, which is displayed in posts.
We are finding many people are highlighting the link and copying to use elsewhere, rather than just clicking on the URL itself, and obviously the link does not work as it has ... in the middle of it.
Is there a way we can increase the allowed length so URL's display in full inside posts?

I noticed on other Vbulletin forums, when someone posts a link/url - a preview of that link is displayed in the final post - how to I enable that?
