  • BB Code shows tags in post, after working correctly in editor and preview

Running 5.6.1 pl 1, if I create a post with any BB Code tags, everything looks correct in the editor. If I use the preview, the tags are parsed correctly. But after submitting the post, we're seeing the tags instead of the intended output. Everything was working fine before. Any ideas about what to check first?

This seems to be only applying to new posts going forward, not to old posts from before the update.

Channel Management -> Channel Manager. Edit the Channel and make sure "Allow BBCode" is checked.

Thanks, that was the problem! I didn't realize it was off by default.

It shouldn't be off by default.

It is. We set up a new channel yesterday and had the same problem but thankfully knew what it was.

Did you create the channel using the Channel Manager in Site Builder or "Add New Channel" in the AdminCP?

Though, I am trying to recreate this and having a difficult time doing so.
