On 4.25 I could set the editor the users got as a global function. Is that still possible? I'd really like to dumb it down for my group. It would also be nice to set the upload function on as default. Possible?

The editor is different. The functions are always available. There is no "Quick Reply" editor. If the user wants to show the BBCode menu, they can click the A in the editor once and it will always appear on all of their devices. If they want to see Upload Attachments all the time, they can click on the Attachment icon once and it will appear on all their devices.

      Hey Wayne
Ahh can I say I hate it. I'd like to be able set all that stuff globally. We have a picture sharing site and don't need code or php. Please tell your boss. The old attachment area would be great also.

There is an open bug for removing the buttons from the editor if you turn off a specific BBCode tag like PHP or HTML.

Attachments work completely different than they did in 4.X and include the ability to drag and drop attachments over the attachment panel. I do not foresee it going back to the static HTML form that is over a decade old, uses obsolete technology, and doesn't support many newer features. For drag and drop, users don't even have to open the panel first. Just drag a file over the editor and it will open automatically.

I have to admit I'm starting to like the editor and the way attachments are handled and displayed.
