  • Sliding content module problem

    I'm running vBulletin 5.6.0 and have been successfully using a couple of sliding content modules but one of them has stopped working properly.

    I have pointed it at a particular channel which contains topics that feature an attached image. Those images are shown in the sliding content module on my home page.

    What has happened is that for no apparent reason the images for several of the topics, but not all of them, have disappeared from the content slider module. No changes have been made to these topics or the images they contain.

    How can I trouble-shoot this?

    Clear the system cache in the AdminCP. It is under Maintenance.

      Editing a comment
      That was one of the first things I tried but no luck.

    The content slider is a search. What is the JSON string for your module?

      Have a look at the slider in the left column here:

      https://www.e-group.uk.net/forum/

      The JSON query is: { "channel":"784570","sort":{"created":"desc"}}

        All of the links in the left column appear to go to the exact same topic. It is hard to tell because you removed the meaningful text title for some reason. What happens if you create a new topic in the same forum with a different user?

          The strange thing is that it worked properly at first and I haven't knowingly changed anything.

          I've done as you have suggested. The image attached in the new post is showing but it also links to the wrong topic. The behaviour has actually changed since yesterday as since then the pictures showing, apart from the new one, have disappeared and previously some of them did link to the correct topic.

            What happens if you put the a content slider with the same information on a different page?

              Hi Wayne - I've done that here https://www.e-group.uk.net/forum/Testpage

              it appears to behave in the same way.
