There's no facility for .htm extensions in vBulletin 5.

Your old URLs should redirect to the vB5 equivalent though.

how? could you help me. There are lots of urls for that we will lose all of their SEO.
even these rules are also not working which are mentioned in .htaccess file
      "RewriteRule ^threads/.* showthread.php [QSA]
      RewriteRule ^forums/.* forumdisplay.php [QSA]
      RewriteRule ^members/.* member.php [QSA]
      RewriteRule ^blogs/.* blog.php [QSA]
      RewriteRule ^entries/.* entry.php [QSA]"

Are Old URLs get redirected to their new VB5 URLs automatically?

Bcoz I am worried what happens to vB4 boards that have been online for 8+ years that upgrade to vB5, they lose all of their SEO?

If you used a standard vBulletin 4.X URL structure, then they will be automatically redirected in vBulletin 5. Using .htm extensions is non-standard. You will need to redirect URLs with .htm to .php in order for vBulletin 5 to attempt to redirect them. If you were using an addon like vBSEO ro DBSEO, then you will need to continue to use their redirects in addition to the ones provided for vBulletin 5 in the default .htaccess file.

In addition to this, you should build a current XML Sitemap in the AdminCP and submit it to your favorite search engines so they can update themselves.
