  • When sharing themes on Facebook the images do not appear

Hello, I wanted to tell you a problem that I have not managed to solve. It turns out that using the social media buttons to share the topics published in my forum is not able to capture the images of the topics, always the logo of my forum. I have tried with different posts or topics published in my forum and always the same.

Here is an example, in this topic when sharing it on Facebook, only the forum logo appears but not the images of the topic:

As you can see, it does not show the images of the published topics, only the image of the forum logo and the text of the theme appear.

I thought it was a bug but not because in the main forum topics of vbulletin the images are shared correctly on facebook

could someone please help me with this and find the solution to share the images on facebook. Thank you

It would use the image specified in the Facebook Connect Options. It will not use an individual image on a post. It has been suggested that the first attached image be used but it never received a lot of community/customer support.

The problem is not that I only took the first image of the subject. My problem is that the image you take to post on Facebook is always the logo of my forum. That is the solution I would like to find, knowing how to prevent Facebook from taking the logo of my forum and only taking the image of the topic

As I said, there is no way to do what you want at this time.

If you don't specify an image in the Settings within the AdminCP, Facebook will take the first image on the page. That will always be the logo. The fix would be to add a dynamic og:image field to the page and there is currently no way to do that currently. The fix proposed above would apply a dynamic value to the og:image tag on each page. If it is ever implemented. Without community votes, it never will be.
