    This weekend I upgraded my forums from 3.7 -> 3.8 -> 4.2.2 -> 5.5.6.

    Up until 4.2.2, customer avatars were displaying correctly. After upgrading to 5.5.6, every user is showing the default grey avatar icon for regular and thumbnails. If I edit a user in admincp and choose to change their avatar, their custom avatar is shown.

    In admincp -> User Picture Manager, it shows the following:

    Storage Type: User Pictures
    Avatars are currently being served from the filesystem at ./customavatars (this folder is in the root of my forum directory)

    What can I do to restore all of my users' custom avatars?

    Thanks,

    Mike

    Custom Avatars are avatars that the user uploaded to their account. Is this what you're referring to?

    Are the files for these custom avatars in the /core/customavatar directory?

      That was it. The files were in /customavatars, not /core/customavatars. Thanks for the help on a holiday, Wayne!
