  • Problems login in as an administrator or as a user in my Forum (database error)

Hi experts, you helped me in the past and I was wondering if you can help me again...

I am trying to access my site/forum through my administrator account login, and through a user account, and in both cases I get this error message: "There has been a database error, and the current page cannot be displayed. Site staff have been notified."
I contacted Siteground which is the server that hosts my site, and this is what they are telling me:

    "Hello Alejandro,

I would gladly assist you with your case. After reviewing the vBulleting, I am afraid that the issue is caused by the MySQL database. What I have done is to enable the Debug mode through the configuration file and the following error was listed:

    Code:

    Debug: Error
Database error in vBulletin 5.0.5: Invalid SQL: DELETE FROM strikes WHERE `striketime` < 1580326587 /**strikes- login**/; MySQL Error : DELETE command denied to user 'photolab_dbadmin'@'localhost' for table 'strikes' Error Number : 1142 Request Date : Wednesday, January 29th 2020 @ 09:36:27 PM Error Date : Wednesday, January 29th 2020 @ 09:36:27 PM Script :

    Function execute_query in file /home/photolab/public_html/core/vb/database.php line 458

    Function legacy in file line
    Function call_user_func_array in file /home/photolab/public_html/index.php line 72

This is why I have reviewed the vBulletin forum and most of the suggestions were to repair and optimize the database. Therefore, I have optimized and repaired the database regrettably the issue was still present. Keep in mind that this is a well-known issue with the vBulletin and I was able to locate multiple reports in the official community. At this point, I am afraid that I would be unable to fix the issue since development assistance is required. The best-case scenario would be contacting a vBulletin specialist."

Also, when trying to register a new account as a visitor, when submitting the registration form I get this message "Missing Human Verification", but there is nothing missing."

    Please, help!

    Thank you very much.

MySQL Error : DELETE command denied to user 'photolab_dbadmin'@'localhost' for table 'strikes' Error Number : 1142
This is a database error caused by the permissions on your database and set by your hosting provider. The database user specified in your /core/includes/config.php file must be able to delete information from the database on a regular basis. Information is added and deleted constantly in the normal operation of vBulletin.

Since Siteground uses cPanel, you can change the database user's permissions in the MySQL section of cPanel. All permissions except the Grant permission are required.

This has nothing to do with "Repairing or Optimizing" the database. In fact, those commands are irrelevant to the operation of vBulletin 5 and have been removed from the system.

Hi Wayne, thank you very much for your fast response. I just address this issue back to the Siteground technicians to see what they have to say about it.
You already helped me in the past and I am very grateful for this.
      Regards,

      Alex
