  • [Bug / Issue] How to remove non-English characters in url?

I need to remove the non-English characters from the url of my website, accents, euro symbol, ñ; I need the clean url slug.

If for example the word is: olvidó to write in the url: olvido

    Is this possible?

We need 13 or more votes for Wayne Luke to propose to include: https://tracker.vbulletin.com/vbulletin5/issues/VBV-17778

There is no option to remove UTF-8 characters from the URL at this time. You will probably want to look at this issue:

    https://tracker.vbulletin.com/vbulle...sues/VBV-17778

While there are a lot of votes on its parent issue, which will probably not be implemented as written, there are almost no votes on this issue. As such, I can't propose it for inclusion in project planning yet. If it gets another 10 votes or so, then I can try pushing it up in priority. Especially since it can probably be implemented in a single line of code in PHP 7.2+.

Thirteen or more so it appears on this page: https://tracker.vbulletin.com/vbulle...es_per_page=50

Then I can propose it to the development team.

We're still on 10 votes. I don't know how to promote and make people vote on it.

I've created a topic in the spanish forum to aware people who can be potencially affected by it.

Thank you but unfortunately the Spanish-speaking forum doesn't have much traffic.
