  • Mozilla Firefox login problem

    Hi,

Our forum Dutchfleet.nl was recently upgraded to 5.5.5 and seems pretty stable now.
So I am working through a list of member issues after the upgrade, and one that keeps coming back is that forum members using mozilla firefox can not login.

Upon clicking 'login', a one line empty space appears as in attachment below, but no login possibility:

Another mozille firefox login issue is that some users, when clicking login, are shown a message 'Blocked by Content Security Policy" as in below attachment:

Click image for larger version Name:	login 01.jpg Views:	0 Size:	37.4 KB ID:	4426409

right-clicking the error text, choosing 'This Frame' followed by 'Open Frame in New Tab' opens a new tab with a useable login dropdown....

Any idea how I can fix this?

    Thanks
    Pim

Make sure you are using https: in the URL (and in your case also wwww).

I can see on your site that you aren't redirecting everything to https://www. All variations of the URL need to be redirected, as it simply won;t work if anything other than what is set in the admincp is used.

      http://www.domain.com - redirect to https://www.domain.com

Also make sure that your Security settings allow iframes. If you use the Security Policy options in the AdminCP, we make exceptions to make sure things like the iFrame for logging in works. However, if the security policy is applied by the server (either via a module, configuration file, or firewall), or the browser then we have no control over this.

So I entered the redirects, it seems to work for Edge, but Firefox still doesn't work when entering "dutchfleet.nl":

Security settings in the admincp (where?) or browser?

              Like I said...

Our settings in the AdminCP are designed to work around this issue. The software ships with these features turned off because it is easy for those without the proper knowledge to lock themselves out of their sites without any recourse. You can see it under Settings -> Options -> Cookie and HTTP Header Options. The Security Policy should be blank since you recently upgraded.

The issue is most likely in your browser or your server. To get help with your browser, you need to contact your browser manufacturer. We don't know how to configure your browser. It should not need any changes from a default installation to use the software.

To get help with your server configuration, you need to get contact your server administrator. We do not have the resources to provide support for other company's products. There are probably a dozen different technologies they could be using. Just for this one header.
