    You can mark words as forbidden for user names under Settings -> Options -> User Registration Options. You should also use the anti-spam tools under Settings -> Spam Management. To prevent bots from Registering, you should use Human Verification with either Question and Answer or ReCaptchaV.2. If you use Question and Answer, make the questions about the topic of your site and have a large variety of them.

    At the end of the registered users name would likely have “bot”. But yes i wiuld like to stop these from constatly happening.

    I'm not sure what you mean. Google bots don't register on your forum. Are you talking just general spam sign ups?

    Spam bot maintenance

    Recently, I had to clear my data base due to the mass about of google bots signing up on my website. I have now made it to where and admin must approve each user to post/registered user. How do I stop the spam bots from registering. I and seeing a range from 10-50 bots a week.
