  • [Resolved] Designating a customized icon for each category

    I have found a code in the forums to add customary icons for categories but it is not working. Any help?
    The code (after changing the path to the image is below):

    PHP Code:
    /* icon for forum without new posts */
    #forum722 .forum-item .cell-forum .icon {

    backgroundtransparent url('/images/metro/blue/misc/trainers.png'no-repeat 0 0;

    width16px/* width of icon */

    height16px/* height of icon */
    }

    /* icon for forum with new posts */
    #forum722 .forum-item.new .cell-forum .icon {

    backgroundtransparent url('/images/metro/blue/misc/trainers.png'no-repeat 0 0;

    width16px/* width of icon */

    height16px/* height of icon */

    Do you mean categories or forums? As this functionality is being added to 5.5.5. See my demo site for an example: https://www.talknewsuk.com

    Take a look at the waterfall of your demo here: https://gtmetrix.com/reports/www.tal....com/5Glk2qif/
    How do you solve the problem related to the icons? They're only 2 kb but they load slowly.

      This is not related to this topic. Please keep topics on track. Generally storing attachments and user avatars in the file system with SSDs is going to be faster than storing them in the database.

    Well, I was talking about customized icon for each category. It's the title of this topic, so it's perfectly related.
    BTW thanks for your suggestion.
