  • Where does VB store redirects

Where does VB 5.x store all the redirect URLs?

We've had a few topics over the past year get moved and we unchecked the redirect box (we didn't like how it left a bold "REDIRECT" message in the topics list). We noticed a large number of people are still trying to access that old URL, so I want to manually create a redirect in Vbulletin. Not sure if it is something we can do in AdminCP or requires database editing or some sort of app. Please advise.

Redirects are "Nodes" and stored in the Node table. There is no easy way to build these manually at this time. Especially since you have to build the required closure chain with all ancestors. Depending on your site structure, this can be many table entries. Last week, I added this as a feature request - https://tracker.vbulletin.com/vbulle...sues/VBV-19388

For those URLs that are important, you should create hard redirects in your .htaccess file as a workaround.
