    Okay, I think I'll leave that one alone for now.
    Would there be any chance of choosing between visiting and posting? Say as an option in the AdminCP.

    You would need to create custom PHP and overwrite the statistics daily task.

    Is an Administrator able to change this to a user who actually posts? To me, that is the definition of being active as opposed to being a spectator.

    An active user has visited the forum in the last 30 days. They don't have to actually post anything. Just visit and log in.
