  • What is the best way to require that all posts are moderated?

If I want to have all posts of Registered users moderated, where do I set that properly?

I tried setting "Skip Moderation for Posts"=No in The Registered Users Group. Didn't affect posting in the forums.

Went to Channel Permissions for the top Level Forums, set "Skip Moderation for Posts"=No as well; then when I tried to post a test topic, with a default user account, as soon as I posted it it simply disappeared! No notification or anything that it needed to be moderated. Is that right?

Then I see in my Admin CP that one topic is waiting to be moderated; how do I moderate it in the Admin CP?

Moderated posts go to the Message Center. There is a folder there called Moderated Posts or something along those lines.

GIPHY for vB5 AutoLinker Auto-Create Flag Report Topic Social Icons in Postbit Clear Cache Cron DragDrop Upload Topic AJAX AutoUpdate Custom Avatars Selector Stop Links in Posts...and more!

I see... thanks. Uhmm, do you know how this is supposed to work?

Are you supposed to use Channel Permissions for the top level Forums, for the Registered Users group for example, and set Skip Moderation for Posts"=No? Anything else?

When I tested this yesterday, as a test registered user, when I create a topic and posted it, it simply disappeared. Very confusing. No notice to the user that his post has gone to moderation...

      Unless I'm doing something wrong.

What version are you using? The "disappeared post" thing is being changed, I think it may be in 5.4.4 though (next version)

5.4.3 has lots of cool stuff, including GDPR/User Privacy, a dark style, and massive improvements to the ease of styling with stylevars.

Are there any known issues with updating from 5.4.1 to 5.4.3?

Not with the default styles and modules. Should only take about 10 minutes to complete.

If you do have highly customized templates or Addons installed, then you may experience issues.
