OK thanks for the detailed explanation Wayne.

It's bringing in feed which is the main thing, I was just worried it was broke at this end.

The scheduled times are not followed exactly. This is how the system works. There are over twenty scheduled tasks in the system. RSS Feeds is just one task. vBulletin will run a single task every minute as long as there is a visitor loading a page on your site every minute. If all scheduled tasks run on schedule, the RSS Feed task is triggered every 10 minutes at 00, 10, 20, 30, 40, and 50 minutes into the hour. Then on top of this, it looks at the schedule per RSS feed and sees if there is new content in the feed. If there is no new content, it doesn't pull anything in. However, if all the scheduled tasks are not completed, then at 00, 10, 20, 30, 40, and 50 minutes a new RSS task is added to the queue and must wait until all tasks before it complete. The more tasks in the queue, the longer it takes to complete them all. Less traffic on the site in some hours means more tasks get queued.

We're working to automate this for Cloud so the visitor isn't needed every minute to keep things on track. Unfortunately, that new functionality places strain on the database servers and it causes the entire Cloud system to go offline every night around 9:00 pm Pacific. That isn't good either. Due to this, we turn off some tasks at different times throughout the day. Keeping the entire system online is more important. Hopefully, the developers get the new technology balanced soon.

RSS Feed not checking on time set

The problem with the RSS feed and the '+' sign in searches is fixed with the new versions 5.3.4 which is great it is now bringing in feeds (thank you)..... however, they are not being checked as expected.

At the moment we have it set to check every 2 hours, but it is completely at random.

For example: The last checked box in the Admin CP for RSS feed showed "27th Nov at 05.14.am" until this morning (29th Nov) when it changed to "09.10am today"

It can go days without checking, it is certainly not every two hours.
