  • vB 5.3.3 calendar and subscribing users: can they receive .ics files for the event?

    Hello,

we currently have a number of events added to our vB-5.3.3 calendar. Now, the user is able to see, there will an event coming up. But he has to remember himself about it - or set up an calendar event on his cell manually by himself.

Is there a way a user subscribe to the event, with the following results:
    1. he receives an email, containing an .ics file he can use to add this event to his calendar on his cell?
    2. when the event gets updated/removed for some reason, he gets another .ics file pushing that change to his cell?

    Thanks a lot.
    Stefan

At this time, vBulletin events are entirely stand alone, they don't support integration with other calendars or use .ics files. Sorry.

We are looking at adding calendar integration within the mobile apps in the future. Then users can import events into their mobile device (Android and iOS). However, we don't have plans to currently offer ICS files on the desktop. You are welcome to create a feature request here:
