  • [Bug / Issue] Problem when trying to create a Group

    Hello,

I receive the following error message (I just did a translation by my own of "unknown value") by trying to create a new Group (https://www.bolidenforum.de/gruppen)
"Unknown value '' für Parameter $nodeid in Method vB_Api_Content_Channel::canAddChanne" with any kind of user (also Admins).

Can anyone help me? What kind of further information do you need?

    Kind regards

Go into the AdminCP under Usergroups -> Channel Permissions. Make sure that the Groups channel has "Can Create Channels" for every group except the groups with CHannel in their name. Those groups should have the default permissions across the entire site.

      Hallo Wayne,
thanks, but this seems pretty correct to me. All settings are correct.

I think there is a issue with the whole "rights" system in my forum. Dont know... some users have rights, some others not. I am really dissapointed with all the problems of VB5

Do the users that do not, have any secondary usergroups?

We need to try and diagnose what the problem is. Please open a support ticket. Reference this thread. Make sure to include access to SFTP, MySQL and your AdminCP.

I got exactly the same problem, 5.3.4_1. Interesting part is that for me one of the buttons work and one does not work. See this image below.
But I cant find the "Reset Groups page" when running tools.php.

Any suggestions what to do next?

pmquist Do you have any javascript errors on the page?

The option in Tools.php is "Restore Default Pages to Default". When you select that, you can choose which pages to restore.
