  • Is there any way to move my forums from VB5 to VB4 ?

I am really not happy with VB5 and would like to go back with my forums on VB4 but it seems there is no option for this or I simply dont see it.
    Please help

No, there is no option to downgrade, other than restoring a database backup from before you upgraded, this would obviously mean the loss of any subsequent content.

There may be 3rd party devs out there that can downgrade a vB5 database to vB4 but I expect that to be expensive and may not be worth it money-wise.

I guess the question is what makes you unhappy with vB5. There may be cheaper solutions or workarounds than downgrading.

Virtually no software provides a downgrade path.

If you let us know what the issues are, we can try to help. Plenty of people use vB5 without issue.

Maybe I find a way. I would do it right away. After 14 months of updating I have not finished solving all the problems. Version 5 has destroyed my forum. Has destroyed 10 years of work.

Priblem in the software . problem in app . problem high load in server

There is many problems but I will mention ones which affect me because of my users.
One of my problems (would say major one) is lack of modifications which my users were using, such as arcade for VB, I was thinking that arcade is destroying my forums but.....I was so wrong.
All in all VB5 is ok, but at first place when I bought VB3 I loved VB because of variety of modifications while now there is almost no any modifications for to customize our forums in a way we like it, in a way users like it
Pardon my poor English, and thanks for reply, cheers

I had this one, this is why I even decided to move on VB5 and later on saw that this is not working and that all of his mods are produced to make $ unlike most of mods on vbulletin.org....I understand that his time has price but....
As mentioned long time ago I bought vb3 because I was happy with various mods on vbulletin.org but now with VB this is far far from that, there is just few working mods for VB5.

                  Thanks for your reply, cheers

I create mostly vB5 mods on my site. I don't have an arcade mod at this time though.
