Try it. I think the solution is effective

Hm, but that was possible with vbulletin3 for example... or was/is that a third party mod?

Then I send in a feature request... thank you.

You can't have the group private and viewable at the same time. If you feel this should change, then you need to create a feature request JIRA here:

No, our problem is not with group members. And there is no special user group "Channel Members".

No, thats not our problem. Group Members can see the group and read all posts.

Yes, but then everyone who is not member of the group can also see/read what is written in the group.

    Sorry for my english..

    We would like that:

Groupmembers and Non-Groupmembers can see a group. But Non-Groupmembers may not view/read what is written inside the group. No Topics or posts.

    Isn´t this possible?

If you want everyone to see the group, you need to change Who can see group: Groupmembers to either Everyone or Group Members and Registered.

It was set the way you told me above:

    In Screenshot:

    Type of Group: Moderate
    Who can see group: Groupmembers
    Who can post: Groupmembers

with the result, that no other user can see the group. (As you can see there are no results in the other screenshot)

    Than we tried:

    Type of Group: Moderate
Who can see group: Groupmembers and Users
    Who can post: Groupmembers

with the result that users can see the group AND read all what is written in there.

    Than we tried:

    Type of Group: Public
    Who can see group: Groupmembers
    Who can post: Groupmembers

with the result , that no other user can see the group. Again.

This is really driving me nuts

Please post the screenshot in English. We have no idea what your options are set to.

    Its now set to

Name:	Screenshot 2017-03-28 14.40.15.png
Views:	51
Size:	23.1 KB
ID:	4367288

And users, which are no members can see nothing:

Name:	Screenshot 2017-03-28 14.41.50.png
Views:	51
Size:	22.0 KB
ID:	4367289

This happens until I set the "who can see group" to members and users. But then other users can also see the group discussions without beeing member.

I think there is missing one more permission option like for forum channels the "Can view Threads".

Can you attach a screenshot of the Group's settings as I've just tested this and can see a Moderated Group correctly

No, just tested that and the group still is not visible to non-members.
