I am now seeing the same "error_information_x" when I click on EDIT SITE button at the upper right side, I see that on Explorer, Chrome and Firefox. I can't edit any pages.

I've cleared browser's cache and cookies a couple of times, restarted computer, cleared cache again. Nothing works. Error is always there. What can I do to solve this problem?

      Thanks a lot

Thanks a lot for your answer. It worked but for just a few seconds. I cleared cache, I could see the EDIT PAGE modules. Then the second time I tried I got the same information X error, cleared cache again and now it's just not possible even if I clear cache again and again

        Please run these two queries:

        DELETE FROM cache
        DELETE FROM cacheevent

This occurs when you have one url specified in the URL fields of Settings -> Options -> Site Name / URL / Contact Details and access from another URL. Even if you have a www. URL and access without the www it will fail due to cookie security.

Wayne Luke Is this a bug in vBulletin or is there some settings to change somewhere that makes it work.

It isn't a bug in vBulletin. For security purposes, you should access your site from a single URL with a proper SSL certificate. If you have multiple domains, they should be properly redirected to your specified URL. There is no setting to undermine fundamental security practices.

So the thing to do if i understand it right is to make the settings for the web server to force a pointing to either www.domain.com or domain.com and then make the settings accordingly in admincp?

                  Yes. that is correct.

We use HTTPOnly and Secure cookies for important cookies. This means they are only available to the subdomain (i.e. www.domain.com) they are created on. They are also only available to the server and not JavaScript. This is different than vBulletin 3 and 4 where there was no security on cookies and anyone could read them.
